Any ideas as to the range of prices for these pins?

Here's the quote I received yesterday. I would have posted it sooner but I've had a slew of medical appointments this week.

Quote:

QUOTE: Lapel Pins - 1 inch, No Cutout charged, Single post rubber (or metal) back, Individually Packaged in Poly Bags
For quantity of 100 of each design, Price: $2.85 each
For quantity of 200 of each design, Price: $2.45 each
For quantity of 300 of each design, Price: $2.00 each
We can pack your pins in individual display boxes for an additional $1.95 per pin.

ALL QUOTES INCLUDE THE ARTWORK, SET-UP/MOLD, PINS, and SHIPPING (minimum 100 pieces) within the (48) USA. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL COSTS.
We hope that you agree to our quote and that you are ready to place the order please respond and we will get our art team in motion to design your artwork for your approval.

For once, MDK is right. EA might get a little angry, and start sending the lawyers on you. Make sure to get permission from them.

EA won't care for several reasons:

They don't care about CafePress: http://shop.cafepress.com/command-and-conquer

They allow games/mods like RenegadeX to exist on engines that EA doesn't own or have a controlling stake in.

It isn't for profit, the pins are being sold for the cost it takes to make and ship them.

So who would we have to go through to purchase these pins? Surely there will be a variety of them, so will there be a limit on how many we can purchase?

Also, EA won't care - they most I can see them doing is wanting a portion of the non-existing profit that will be created from this. Whats That

Last I heard, we're setting up a Kickstarter page. All payments will go through there. I can send more designs over to the Pin People and see if we can get them to design the rest, but that will probably raise the initial investment cost. It's already roughly $300 to make 100 pins, all of which would be GDI initially and followed up with Nod, unless they agree to make 50 of each for the same price.

I have a Kickstarter account set up. Kickstarter would "escrow" the funds so that we wouldn't actually do this until we had enough committed buyers of the pins.

Also, buying them through PayPal is an option because you have protection as a buyer. If the pin is not shipped, you get your money back.

I'm the bawss.

How much would be the cost of shipping them to Europe? I guess they'd fit in a normal letter enveloppe? I'm interested, and I think I can get some friends interested as well.

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I saw $38 on the US Postal Service calculator for an envelope that we could send which would contain all of the pins for your particular area, so you could simply have your friends kick in a few dollars for shipping so that the $38 is matched by all of your contributions.

I'm not sure if there's a cheaper option than the USPS for international shipping.

Im not too sure whether I just dont enjoy Anime anymore or whether its just I dont have time really to shit and watch it.

The only way to truly reap the benefits of the 100 piece price break is if we are either producing the same design or if we only change the color or the plating of the metal.
If the second design is different from the other design than I am sorry we will have to treat it like two orders. The pricing for 50 pins is $4.95 per pin plus shipping. If you decide to produce both designs for a quantity of 50 pins each we will waive the shipping to help save you some money.
Please provide me with your other design and give me the details as to what you would like for us to create for you and we will make the final decision as to how we can be more cost effective with your pricing.
I look forward to hear from you soon.

This is what I got back from them today.

If we go to the big communities (CNCNZ, CNCHQ, Planet C&C, C&C Official Forums) then I am sure that we will get far more people for this. Do you want to advertise?
