You could fool a lot of people in this community... Some people might not say it, because sadly you are in control of the biggest forum for them to gather at.

I didn't know that was in dispute.
Quote: | The second part in yellow:
I imagine most people have a life outside this place, but you sure find your way back here real fast when it involves the reputation of you and your personal community.
But if you are saying you don't have sufficient time to properly run this place, maybe you should consider passing it on to someone else. Instead of just delegating, then coming back and using your authority to protect people that are part of your personal community. (Yes, I already know this will never happen, just saying)
I wouldn't actually call this place neglected either, I personally think Gozy does a wonderful job, and he is not bias (from what I can tell at least). I figure most would agree with that. Without him I think this forum would have just went to spam and shit a long time ago.
Yes, most people have a life outside of the online world, I believe Gozy even has a kid, right? At least he still finds time to keep these forums somewhat in line, you only seem to come on when it involves you and your personal community/image.
There is a huge difference between paying the bills and actually running a place. I thought you would have known that, as I recall you ran your own business in real life...
Yea, there is a huge difference, but then there are some similarities as well.
|
Yep, Gozy does an excellent job. But to say this forum isn't neglected would be a huge fallacy. Just to start, I desperately need to update the software to the latest version. On top of that, I need to move the forums to a more reliable server. That's neglect.
Running a place also includes knowing when to delegate and who to delegate to. Gozy does an excellent job, but I wouldn't expect him to step in when my own name is being trashed, just as Wilo, Jelly, and others come in when they are being trashed. They come to defend themselves. I don't get why you think this is a bad thing.
You obviously are butt-hurt about something else, so why not just come out and say it?
Wilo asked me to remove the thread between him and shaitan and I agreed. (It's in the Silo.) If he asks me to remove the new one, I will as well.

I wouldn't volunteer to take this place over from Crimson in the first place. To be frank: a few weeks ago, I resigned as a global moderator because I didn't feel like I had sufficient time and motivation left to keep doing it. It also felt terribly wrong to be a global moderator here while not playing Renegade anymore. But a while after, I restarted playing on NS and came back here so I asked to put the resignation on hold.
I don't always agree with how Crimson reacts, though this is probably due to cultural differences and different personalities, but she has been showing a very long lasting commitment in this project and for that we should be thankful to her. I also think she's the right person to keep doing this, i see no real reason to change it. Yes, there some bias due to her also running NS, but there will also be some bias one way or the other.
Maybe you can also delegate the forum update, Crimson?
You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I was gonna leave this thread alone, but after last night i've gotta say jarhead is unusually cantankerous, incapable of having a civilised conversation, and not at all serious about his admin job.

Gozy, I am not saying that you should take over the forums. I was just saying that you do a great job for being the only staff that is actually active.
Thanks again ACK valuable input as always...
I said "I just state my opinion" not to say this was just my personal belief, but in response to me being "butt-hurt".
While the fact is true that this is my opinion, I am fairly sure there is a group of others that share it. So your picture post doesn't really server much purpose.
Don't get me completely wrong, I am thankful to an extent for Crimson's contribution(s) to the Renegade community as a whole, but there needs to be standards set and maintained. Not just prioritize by what helps personal images, because honestly when you do that, you completely do the opposite.
It is a little late in the life span of this place to actually change people, I just wish that the people that can make a difference, would. Maybe the time left here will be more enjoyable, and if you really get a miracle and all the bullshit goes away people might become active again.
Put personal interest aside, and enforce rules fairly.

Why would you go and do that? There's no private information being thrown about this time by him and me throwing back. The only logs on there are the ones he put up.
I'm not asking you to remove it, and if you do that "if he asks me"...why would you choose to remove mine when you left his up for days? His was way worse of a topic than my own.
That thread is just a "rubbing it in his face" deal, nothing more.

I removed all personal information about anyone as soon as I was made aware of it. There's a "report this post" button for a reason. Not only did I remove it from that post, but I went through all the replies to make sure it wasn't quoted, and when it was, I removed it there, too.
Thousands of posts, thousands of users. If you see something that doesn't belong, report it. It's that simple.
I removed the thread from public viewing because of all the references to police and lawsuits. So when Wilo asked to remove it for that reason, I agreed. Now I can make sure that no one involved can edit their words away if it becomes necessary. Also, removing the thread might prevent legal issues from arising between Wilo and/or shaitan.

Crimson, they are all butthurt because things are not going in their favor. I have learned over the years you can't make everyone happy, they will bitch no matter what. Second, don't worry about legal issues at this point. There won't be a lolsuit or anything else from Shai, there is no lawyer or court that would take a case like this right now with the state of the economy and just the fact its retarded. If people fail to report a post or have issues with information posted, its not your fault, you can't be everywhere at once.
Last: the pictures I posted of his mother were uploaded to her facebook. Please take the time to read Facebooks TOS and you will see that all pictures uploaded become the property of FB. Also, shais personal information is not protected by any laws as it can be found in many public records. I look forward to this lolsuit.
*waits for trolls*
And no I am not mad.

Actually, last I looked Facebook had a disclaimer in the user privacy settings that specifically noted that all images and videos remained the property of the uploader. Just a minor point.
Also, for the record, all these storm did this / whoever did that / wilo said something nasty hissy fit argument topics are getting really tedious, can't everyone just talk to each other in private and settle things like adults instead of resorting to public shit flinging like common monkeys?

I was mistaken then, sorry about that. Still, I linked to her facebook that was set to public. So I am still in the clean, you don't want people seeing your pictures, set it to private.

As soon as you put it up on the internet it's not yours anymore. They can also take your pics and post them on porn sites if they want. Sad but true, that's what I was informed too.
What I'd like to know, is if you could place little disclaimer deals on them and keep them safe? Sort of like how people do it with programs. After all, it's essentially the same idea, isn't it?
