I currently have MW3 on pre-order, but I am considering switching it to BF3.
I have been playing MW2 on xbox live for a while now, I bought Black Ops but took it back in a week because I thought it sucked.
I was pleased to hear about MW3 coming out, but after seeing some of the game footage and hearing some of the changes I am thinking BF3 will be the way to go.
I am not really fond of the dog tags and confirming kills that I seen to be coming in MW3. Also I bet they leave that BS quick-scoping in so they don't lose all the dumb kids who can't use a sniper rifle properly.... And before anyone compares it to sniping in Renegade, keep in mind Renegade is not supposed to be a realistic game.
BF3 is looking pretty awesome with the destructive maps, I hear that is already part of BF-BC2, but I have not played any of the older ones. I had thought about buying BF-BC2 to try it out, but with BF3 coming so soon I thought I'd wait. Also I kinda miss the tanks and vehicle style that I loved so much in Renegade.
So what have you heard that makes you like or dislike either of these games?

Have you not seen any of the BF3 gameplay trailers? BF3 is going to be the new Crysis for PC gamers.
The lighting system, the animation system, the destructible environments... they are all extremely high end. Also, BF2142 is/was an awesome game that I still play.
Graphics don't make a game, but they sure do enhance it. Battlefield has always been a fun game. And now with its new graphics it will be incredible.

Noone i know has talked about MW3 so i cant form an opinion on it
BF3 is the only one i've heard anyone i know talk about and its all good things about the game

MW3 has some cool things going for it too. While the multiplayer is still more or less the same, they have made some cool new changes. For example, they have three classes of units: Assault, Support, and Specialist. Each class plays differently and is given different types of kill streaks.
Assault has offensive kill streaks such as bombing runs, helicopters and all that.
Support gets kill streaks from not only killing enemy players but also capturing objectives and getting assists. All their kill streaks have something to do with aiding the team as a whole. Things like UAVs and what not.
Specialist is a whole new bread entirely. Instead of racking up kill streak rewards, they earn kills to unlock new perks. So after say 5 kills, they might gain a quick-reload perk and then in another few kills, they gain infinite sprint. Stuff like that. Once they die, it all gets reset.
But the thing I'm most excited for in MW3 is survival mode. It's kinda similar to Zombies in Black Ops except you aren't fighting zombies but rather wave after wave of enemy soldiers. You earn credits for new guns, armor, reinforcements and ammo. From what I've seen of it, it looks really fun to play.
