A few good mappers used to have some of the stuff they have (e.g. walls and guard tower models) up for download, but I can't find anything these days. Any help?

Long time and well respected Renegade community member, programmer, modder and tester.

I know there is a bunch of stuff on the Westwood FTP, not sure if that's what your looking for?

The buildings.zip and vehicleModels.zip include a lot of assets from the SP games and some stuff which never made it into the game at all as I recall.

I just downloaded both the files I named from it so... no it wasn't?

Very interesting... on my laptop ftp.westwood.com goes to the old westwood FTP and it works perfectly. On my desktop I get some kind of EA ftp site? Looks like someone at EA fucked up something...

Thanks guys, but I already have the WW stuff. I got everything to complete a Renegade map with, i'm looking for assets like halo38 and titanx177 used to have on their site, e.g. guard towers. I downloaded a bunch of skins, textures and models (e.g. beta stuff) but it isn't that much I could find compared to a few years ago.

Long time and well respected Renegade community member, programmer, modder and tester.

Scripts 4.0 private beta tester since May 2011.

You've specified guard towers a few times in your posts already, so I'm assuming your at least looking for that kind of stuff.

Were you thinking of DeathLink6.0 website? You kept mentioning guard towers and so that's the first thing that came to mind. I stumbled across DeathLink's website a few years ago while looking for a guard tower model. Lots of the models he used to have up there were apparently stuff from Westwood, but re-touched and 'more cleanly modeled'. I'm not too good with the lingo, but I assume it was somewhat customized and might be what your looking for.

Take a look at the screenshots and check if this is what your searching for. The screenshots were taken from his 'Models' page:

On Feb. 16th 2011 he made a topic here on Renforums saying he was going to take it down (here). I've done a quick skim of the models section on Game-maps.net and haven't seen any of his stuff posted up there. In the original topic, he also posted a download link that contained his entire website, including models/other releases.

I sure will continue updating it so if anyone has something new Wink

Though that pack contains multiple structures it depends where you want to use them for some are not game ready.
Mainly missing damage aggregates.
So if you fix up a building for usage let me know so I can reupload it!
