My grandpa passed away some time ago, now I want to look up information about his war days for some personal issue. The only thing people know about him was he was a Army paratrooper in Vietnam war. Is there a official website that I may look up his first / last name to find his information or records? Please and thank you

You have to do a formal request. Your parents or his immediate relatives should have the pertinent info to fill out the form.

The Veterans Dept. can be a bureaucratic clusterfuck. So make sure you've filled out everything to a T.

I developed software for the Pueblo Medal of Honor Foundation, and work with their veteran databases. There are two databases, one for Medal of Honor recipients, and one for veterans (most kind). It's a longshot but I could see if he's in the Veteran database, I would just need first / last name.
