Surth said "basically, deeply religious people are idiots", which is actually true- people so damn deep in their religion contribute pretty much nothing and only serve to become a stone in the way of progress.

Oh sure, there are exceptions, but exceptions don't define anything.

And if you're implying people deep into science are just as bad... just, no. I'd be inclined to agree that they're still shutting their minds off to other possibilities, but they still contribute and help the world progress. Deeply religious people do not.
