Canada has sent six jets to the effort.
Unfortunately, our aircraft 'carrier' hasn't broken off from the polar ice cap yet. But when that shit melts, and that iceberg with our planes heads towards North Africa, shit's getting real.
LET'S KICK SOME ASS CANADA! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

6 F16 from Belgium ready to strike from tomorrow. Can you imagine that: we have no real Government but we can decide to go to war! Way to go!

LOL
BELGIUM STRONG
Also, I really hope this doesn't turn into another Iraq situation. But then, it's not the US leading the front, so that's already good news.

Actually we already have our jets in Italy, but they're grounded for now because apparently our "state-of-the-art" radar systems can't distinguish between friendly and hostile targets...
Those F-35's can't get here soon enough.

So long that no external counties are involved or are in danger, international intervention in a nation's internal struggles should not be justified.

i guess you were in favour of dismantling the no-fly zone over Iraq, then? and if saddam felt like repeating genocide of the shias and kurds, it'd just be too bad for them, eh?

Exactly.
We need ties with the next government because they are an oil nation. They will be churning the shit out at twice the speed to rebuild the country after they've hung Gadaffi.
We can't stand idly by while the other countries make sure they're in the queue for cheaper oil (especially when prices keep going up and up at the pumps).
Being part of the rescue effort and bombing the fucker in the name of humanity and compassion for the people of Libya will ensure we get right to the front of that queue!
Tibet has been occupied by China since 1950, with the people being treated as second class citizens (being an understatement, as they are sterilised and have force abortions), they're language and culture has been all but wiped out and their land used as a nuclear dumping ground. Right now there are approximately 3,000 religious and political prisoners held captive in Tibet, but that is nothing compared to the 1.2 million Tibetans that have died as a result of the Chineese occupation.
Take on China, and you have no oil? No thanks...

well, we can't take on china, can we? can't invade someone who has nukes, and nothing UN-wise can be done because they'll just veto it, just like with their client-state sudan. that really is blood for oil, btw.
