I have two computers that both have the same issues. The browser won't load certain pages about 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time they will load. It can't be my browser because I tried both Chrome and IE. One computer is connected to the modem via cable and the other is via WLAN.

So I guess it has to be either some piece of software I have installed on both computers or it has to be something to do with the internet itself, which is hard to believe to me..

Any ideas?

Sounds like maybe your DNS isn't working too great. Google something like change dns servers in windows" and the version (XP, Vista, 7, whatever) and change the DNS addresses to something else. For testing purposes, you could try google's DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. You can also change the addresses in your modem/router if you can find where they are.

It's worked well for me, but I don't know of any equivalents for the Netherlands though.

Thanks alot man, that actually worked like a charm. Pages load like twice as fast and I never have any trouble loading pages anymore.

If you want even more performance, give this a try: http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

It will test some well known DNS Servers and tell you which DNS Server(s) perform the fastest for you. Wink

I use OpenDNS, it isn't the fastest for me but it offers some nice features.
