Game Crashes When Entering Vehicle [message #441457]

i have windows 7 and play this on my laptop. game runs great til i go to get into any vehicle then logs me out to my desktop. im using scripts 3.4 if that matters.

any help would be appreciated. dont care what anyone says, renegade is still the best game out there.

very first line says
Exception occurred at 0x12812C84 .text:0x12812C84 (shaders.dll)

so do i need a new shaders.dll?

Reinstall scripts 3.4.4 using the exe and disable the shaders?

well when you run it, shaders and all other options are not check marked by default, but ill do it again

still crashes. i can play ren just find just cant do anything but be a soldier. guess ill have to reinstall and use old scripts file. was really hoping to use the new one since my pc can now play just about any game Angry

my data file is from my old pc. since it has all the maps and skins i liked i just copied it over. i went back to my original installed data files and have no issues. is some skin i must have downloaded. going to rebuild it. ty anyway for your help. now comes the daunting task of figuring what file or files is causing the issue

Very simple.

If you use a custom hud, but didnt put the correct shaders.dll in your Renegade folder. Then it crashes, cause on some custom huds is this enabled:

WeaponImageEnabled=true

And this setting crash the game without a fixed shaders.dll
