How would you all feel about this one?

Imagine if BP killed tens of thousands of people and injured and/or poisoned over half a million more? What if BP just left the country and point blank refused to pay any compensation for the clean up, then refused to make any payments to victims or their families, then had the British Government refuse to extradite the CEOs to face a court of law.

After 25 years, BP would make some compensatory payments but it wouldnt even be enough to cover the medical bills.

Now imagine that these British CEOs actually knew all about the potential for this accident to happen and fixed their British plant but did nothing for the plant in America becasue it would cost too much.

Even now after 25 years, the area has still not been cleaned up. More than half a million American people are still being exposed to toxic gasses and chemicals, many people remain seriously ill and new born babies are having horrible deformities.

Still, the British Government refuse to apologise, make reparations or extradite those responsible.

Oh....wait.

Replace "BP" with "Union Carbide (now Dow Chemical)" and "British" with "American", "American" with "Indian" and "America" with "Bhopal".

I will not be helping the USA until they help the people of Bhopal.

If you see any pictures of the Bhopal people protesting, they give Americans some very tempting offers like "Give them Warren Anderson and we will give you Osama"!

Back to this oil spill, BP is a British(=FOREIGN!) registered company so they are easy targets for the American media. The company itself is a global corporation and has more Americans working for it than any other nationality. Transocean and Haliburton are American companies barely mentioned in this debacle. You know how much those companies got back in insurance on the gulf accident. You know how much they want to pay to the American people to help clean it up. Go ask that question.

And please be aware to this could become the worst ecologic catastrophe of all time.

Its nowhere near the worst ecological disaster "of all time". It might become the worst oil spill but even then it has a long way to go.
