I was looking for help on how to play Hitman contracts because it won't run on vista, and somebody said to run "bcdedit.exe and turn off DEP."

I did that now when I type in bcdedit.exe it come sup as; The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied.

Then of course as soon as I look back at the website someone quotes what he says, and he said "do not do what this guy said unless you know what you are doing!"

I go back and look and I screwed everything up! Anyway to turn it back on?

Here is a picture.

It won't let me access anything! even though this is my personal computer and I am a administrator. Can anybody help me out? Thanks!

by the way this is messing up everything! this will not let me install games due to a security feature of that what I did. I shouldn't have did what he said!

If you got that error message, you never really turned it off; have you tried rebooting?

I think he's not running it as admin.

He isn't for sure; that's a non-elevated command prompt window. As such, bcdedit couldn't have done anything.
