I think this may be a sign my USB ports are fucked

i was copying music files from my flash drive to my PSP soon a message popped up saying "Down - New Orleans is a Dying Whore" is no longer located in O:/blablablablablabla
and then PSP was no longer connected through USB due to the message on the PSP "if the host does not detect the connected system etc etc." and that the flash drive reconnected through USB. shortly afterworlds i thought it was just a corrupted file and played it in WMP... it played all the way through so now my last idea is all thats left. I'm going to Google search this issue now.

The Google search results: NOT A DAMN THING

It could be that the USB dock ports were overused? or it could be the USB lead that connects to the USB port is fucked.

Tried it on another PC to see if it works?

Now tried a different file with more music in it about 1.12 gigs and it worked fine until 13 items were left
(this is from flash drive to PSP)
in the other one it stopped 5 items into it

does this have any significance?

This problem just started to occur today
