Yes, I heard about this awhile ago. Seems even before Nintendo releases the DSXL or whatever it's called, they already announce a new one. The only way I would get a 3DS is if it played GBA games, otherwise I'll just get a DS Lite if I ever decide to buy any of the models.
The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby.

You are mistaken. That's not the 3DS. That's a DSi game. It's using the camera to simulate a 3D environment.
That game is called Hidden Messages, it's a Japanese DSi game.

You, too, are mistaken. The DS has the best titles available for a handheld. I'd go as far to say best titles period. (But since you can't really put DS games on consoles, it really isn't a contest)
The DS simply has the best game library... ever. It is by far my largest collection of games.

lol name some non-anime based games that normal people might like ... i've had my DS since launch (bulky silver one) and only have 5 games i've ever liked ... mario party DS, mario kart DS, metroid prime hunters, legend of zelda phantom hourglass and new super mario bros, ... quite a collection ... every other game i played was worth maybe 2-3 dollars.

Define "normal people." Also, they aren't 'anime-based' because then they would take after an anime. There are a few anime based DS games, but they usually aren't that good.
But I think I know what games you are talking about: Games with characters that look like they belong in an anime, correct?
It's funny how you put it and it's made even more funnier after you listed those games because you contradict yourself. Mario, Zelda, Metroid. Those are all "anime-esque" type games. You know, the kind you said "normal people" don't play?
You should play more of those types of games, you might actually enjoy it. A lot of them are very long, have an excellent story, addictive gameplay, and great game mechanics.
Personally, I really didn't like New Super Mario Bros, Metroid Prime Hunters, or Mario Party DS. Mario Kart was also kind of boring, but I played it when I had nothing else to do. Plus it can be fun over WiFi and in groups of 3 or more friends.
I still haven't beaten Phantom Hourglass yet. Don't get me wrong, I love Zelda games, but the thing about Phantom Hourglass is that it forces you to do the same exact dungeon over and over again. It's boring and repetitive. Whenever I get up to it again, I usually stop playing for a month or two before I decide to try it again. I hear Spirit Tracks follows a similar mechanic but they fixed it so you don't have to fight the same enemies and redo the same puzzles. (When you solve something, it is solved) So, I'm looking forward to playing that after I beat Phantom Hourglass.

I didnt say its the new console. I know it is ds. It is an example of the technology the new device is probably going to be capable of; that is why i posted it.

It's supposed to play DS games, so I no longer have to feel bad about never pulling the trigger on one. I hope they include a "virtual handheld" somewhere down the line
