Hey, about an hour or so ago I was playing on Jelly Marathon on field, and I started to get accused of cheating by a player called SvRprelude (or something similar). I Hs'd him 3 times in a row. (Huge evidence, I know) I was a 500 Sniper and he a Shotgunner. Apparently he didn't know you could scope into the HON without being hit by base defenses. The other HS came from hugging that rock in front of the OB as he ran in a straight line.
Apparently that is a pretty mean feat. I then lag killed a player named GxMoney near our ref, he was standing still against the ref wall, and I HS - then to my horror he teleported behind the rocks near the bar and died. This wasn't exactly good timing to be getting lag kills.
I started to argue with them, and so I started to run fraps and tried to replicate the decent sniping with 25-30 FPS, it didn't happen. Raven and others were on IRC at the time, but nobody to my knowledge acted upon this whole situation.
I can understand Gx's point of view, because you can't get a HS behind a rock, period. On the other hand we have SVR, a complete moron who associates good sniping with hacking. Without trying to be arrogant, and knowing that this statement will sound like it - I hate it when players accuse you of cheating because they can't do what you can; or understand how you beat them so frequently, or simply because you're a better player than they are.
I didn't have fraps running at the time, and even if I did, I doubt anybody, let alone me, could still snipe at the same level at 25 FPS; it's just not possible, especially on an AOW server. Your reticle moves slower, people teleport around even more and your own movement is jagged.
So basically the point of this thread is how do I deal with this? I'm sure some of you know how it feels to sit there and be accused of cheating when you're completely innocent. I wonder what players like XvEzErX had to go through at times. How did players of that calibre prove their innocence? I don't have the luxury of having a machine that can run fraps and still be able to snipe comfortably.
I don't want to stop sniping, or try not to get HS (yes, I felt I had to do that yesterday), because I can't see why I should feel compelled to stop simply to avoid further accusations. It just feels like it's everybody versus me, and I can't do shit about it.
I run the latest scripts and use RR. Does this fully block the use of all cheats? If so, I can't see why I should be accused if this is known to players. Is there any sort of method I can use to prove that I'm not hacking whilst playing without Frapsing?

There's not really anything u can do. Try to get known in a community so you have more chance of being backed up if it happens.
You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

I wouldn't worry about some random noobs calling you a cheater. Happens all the time.
If it's a good server with good mods, they aren't going to ban you based off of crying kids in game.
And this:

In battlefield 2 I just printscreened every hackusation I got because they were funny sometimes. If it gets you banned you can then send that Screenshot to an admin and get the ban removed.
I'm assuming renegade hacks arent like aimbot wierd colour things of course im not entirely sure on what renegade hacks look like lol.
Also with the lagging part playing with a constant 300 ping has it's advantages and disadvantage, one of them is the lag kills which are quite funny to get. But sometimes it just plain sucks trying to have a sniper fight with someone that warps everywhere.

I find it fun and it takes your opponent's mind off of the game and focuses it on the argument.
|
But eventually it boils down to your accuser saying "stfu u chet", and you saying "lol" and continuing to play. Why not just cut out the bullshit and skip to the end?

cheers for the replies. I don't know if I can sit there and go "lol"; I don't want people thinking I cheat. I tend to always argue with someone who makes serious allegations; and generally yea, it does boil down to "ok n00b u use rgh, stop lying, it's sooooo obvious, hf with ur aimbot n00b cos u cant aim urself"
Btw, XV does not suck.

Clearly Renegade is the wrong game for you then. This game requires the player to have a functioning pair of balls. Try playing The Sims or something.

of course, I should be more brave over the internet, that way; I could sit there and talk to people like you do.

If you're afraid to sit there and talk over the internet, then you really do need to be more brave.

I suppose it depends partly on your reputation.
If your a new player and no one knows who you are then you would normally have to prove that you don't hack. But, if your well known to the server and the admins, Then you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Best thing to do is just printscreen the accusation and continue playing.

I've given up convincing people that I don't cheat. It just isn't worth the effort.
Like, people will think you cheat in this game no matter what pretty much. I'm pretty awful, so the fact I get accused of cheating is funny.
