I'd consider it, but my PC is currently under repairs, and I'm playing ren on the Family PC atm. even with my PC, I'd still feel like i'd be letting everyone down with my shit net, so shit PC + Shit net = definite no.

Plenty of members and decent players here, I thought it would of filled up already

Not my decision of course, but I would think some people would have problems playing with or against someone who has been caught cheating.

Well I don't know about anyone else but I am not signing up because I disagree with the rules allowing cheats to be used (see: clear scope, custom huds with building bars etc). But that's just my personal preference... if the majority of the Renegade community are unable to play a game without all those cheats installed then I feel sorry for those sad losers.

I could imagine why... but it is a good way to show i no longer cheat that is of course if i'm allowed to play

If you can devise an efficient way to police the use of ClearScope, and HUD's then the RGCT team is all ears.

There's a difference between attempted enforcement and simply saying it's allowed. Custom HUDs can easily be checked by a screenshot taken by each player at the start of the game and at immediately after any occasion where they leave and rejoin. If any player fails to post their screenshot(s) the team is disqualified.

Clearscope again *could* be checked by screenshot but due to the fact you have to buy a sniper to do so it would be awkward to do so and probably not worth it as the advantage gained via that is less than gained via building health bars being constantly shown on the HUD.

Anyway, I simply posted that to state one of my main reasons for not joining, not to start a debate on the subject. How the RGCT team run their tournament is their own business.

Just so you know, the second reason I am not joining is the massive time frame involved... how am I supposed to know more than 4 months in advance if I will be able to play a game of Renegade on a given date?

I know of a BB HUD that has it so you can hit a key and make them disappear, but of course you could recognize the rest of the hud easily as it is one of the simplest HUD's I have seen... but it was not openly released and I haven't heard of any other HUD's with this function.

A certain group of people know which HUD I am talking about.

Not trying to properly debate here, but the beauty of the way I've worked this one is that your team captain organises the matches with your opponent rather than us dictate when you should play.

We have deadlines where you should X amount of games done, but nothing drastic. I've tried to make it as flexible as possible.

I can still make changes to the rules till the end of April. I'm open to suggestions.

I thought I'd disallowed BBs..I'll go sack my assistant >:|

I'm trying to get as many people happy as possible, so more people play. Then there is more teams, more competitiveness etc etc

Could 2 teams agree to strengthen some rules? E.g. if both captains agreet hat BB are not allowed, could they impose this in their game?

About Zeratul's application: the answer would be no.

About the building bars: not here. Sadukar, I'm not sure if u just did this in prupose for this topic to derail, if not search for the 10 other topics with building bar debates.
