When someone says this game is dead it does not mean that know one plays the game any more god there will always be n00bies that play this game probly untill the westwood servers shut down.

Man u people are in denial. The game is dead. Its been dying for awhile now and when these new games come out all that will be left is you people, still saying how the game is not dead. Just accept it in the next 3 months there will probly be less than 150 regular players and thats it.

I've still noticed over 22,000 ranks. That means at least that many still play because you can't get ranks without playing! Servers are always filled up and even people buying the game for $5 are still coming in. Cheaters seem to get fewer and fewer too with shared black-lists.
Renegade is not dead.

I'd estimate that the average Renegade population today is about half of what it was around the game's release. As a shred of evidence, while today there are about 22,000 people listed on Renegade's ladder, back in my ladder-whore days of the first couple months of the game's release, I remember there being about 45,000 players listed in the ladder rankings
Now, when taking into account that this game, which was produced 1-and-a-half years ago by a company that doesn't even exist anymore, was considered a marketing failure, I'd say that this game is far from dying, even if I myself don't play it much anymore.
From what I've seen, it seems that most people who think Renegade is dead or is dying have recently quit playing Renegade themselves. Those people, being as near-sighted and self-centered as they are, cast false judgement on the game and condemn it to the graveyard.
