My School is planning to take on Random Drug Testing. I am somewhat angered by this, and because of my reaction of "THATS BULLSHIT" if they take it on I am going to be one of the first tested. I am curious if Nicotine is going to get me into any problems(being underage). I am also curious of other opinions on the Random Tests.

Um, are they even allowed seeing as how it's a public facility? I thought the only time you would be drug tested as if you were on parole that was subject to it or for a job. This seems really strange to me. It also doesn't seem right that they want to treat their students as common criminals without any prior evidence.

The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby.

They do random class room searches with a drug dog as well many major Texas cities are also taking on random testing in that situation i'm sure its legal for them(even if it shouldn't)... some places around my area have accepted random tests as well. it does piss me off that we are interrupted for some stupid ass search of a room with no evidence but now random drug tests... i can barely pass as is but with the school on my ass *when this does happen* for nicotine in my blood (if they don't believe the second hand) my grades are fucked

Maybe school really is becoming prison Sarcasm

Didn't know school where allowed to drug test their students. You signed some kind of agreement attending that school. The only way they can test for nicotine is through a hair sample, blood or skin sample. A piss test wont show any nicotine i don't think. When i was in high school we had random dog searches all the time. I think drug testing students is over the line.

I do not know if this is true but i've heard some places may start using hair samples/Blood samples for a test... this of course came from a source that is not reliable... i passed the test by the way guess it doesnt show

I wonder how much money they're spending on this. It'd be way more productive if it were put towards bursaries or something that rewards hard work, instead of penalizing everyone for dumb shit.
