Spoony, you have played with me maybe a max of 10 times while knowing it was me, don't start acting like you know how i play.

and you acted arrogantly and unpleasantly in all of them...

Quote:

I said that CERTAIN people will not play, and that is true. I didn't REFUSE to play, i chose not to. One main reason is that i know that if something went wrong, Spoony would immediately target the players he dislikes first.

lol, where the HELL are you getting this from? don't just make stuff up, it does more harm to your case than you think.

Quote:

If you do think that my attitude is truly bad in game, then give me proof please, logs should do. Otherwise you are just attempting to prove something untrue again.

i don't have logs, sorry, but every time i've seen you in game you tried to start flaming some other player for no reason at all... usually trying to round it off by the whole "1v1?" crap.

Quote:

Spoony has never been more than a person who gets his kicks in arguing, and a person who's hobby is to get people to join his side against others.

again, you're flailing wildly here. i don't particularly care if anybody joins my side; i'm perfectly happy if nobody agrees with me at all in debates like this. frequently, nobody does. it's no problem.

Quote:

Now, go ahead and try and beat me in an argument I'm not a part of again, it should amuse us all once again.

the amusing thing is when people get so angry at losing that they pretend it never happened. you occasionally get it in renegade, and you get it ALL THE TIME in forum debates.

Quote:

I don't like loki, i don't know Nunega, so don't associate me with them because you think that you are the top man of this forums.

i wasn't associating you with them; simply making a list of people who were the top contenders for not wanting to play if spoony was in charge.

Quote:

No offense, i think that doing what you do is honestly something you enjoy

well, i quite like debates... being proven right is nice, being proven wrong is worthwhile too since you come out knowing more than you did when you went in (which is why i think it's funny how angry some people get when it happens).

Quote:

but for 99% of the population, sitting on a forums, just for the reason to argue when possible, is not there idea of a "life".

...but this is where your sentence, which started okay, crashes and burns. "just for the reason to argue when possible"? no. i don't debate just for debate's sake... i debate things i think are relevant. and it's not my idea of a "life" either... in my case that would be putting on gigs, seeing others, hanging out with friends and playing pool

Quote:

This was basically what started you randomly attacking me in the pointsfix debate:

Me: "I see what you mean, and the pointsfix is for the better, sometimes, in my opinion"

You: EVERYTHING ABOUT THE POINTSFIX IS BETTER, AND I WILL PROVE IT BY QUOTING YOU AND SPAMMING YOU WITH HOW WRONG YOU ARE. I WILL SIT ON THE FORUMS ALL DAY AND FIND EVERY LITTLE THING WRONG WITH WHAT YOU POSTED WHILE DOING SO. I WILL THEN CONVINCE THE RENEGADE COMMUNITY THAT I AM ONLY TRYING TO IMPROVE THE GAME OF RENEGADE, WHEN I AM ACTUALLY JUST HERE TO ARGUE.

i didn't randomly attack you. i just disproved a lot of what you said (i wasn't the only one) and you started attacking me, because you can't handle being wrong. i think it belies a vast intellectual insecurity what you're doing here... if you lose a debate, you think the opponent did something wrong in defeating you. you see this in renegade every now and again, but nowhere near as often as we see it in pointsfix debates.

Quote:

rcmorr09: "I will give you some credit spoony I am sure your team was better off with you leading, but I still say your team had better players."

You: No, the renforums team was not better, it was solely the fact that i led the team, that we won. I will now go ahead and point out everything that would have gone wrong if i was not the leader.

well, firstly a summary of this debate would not be complete without td's whining on page one.

secondly i did not say it was solely the fact i led the team that we won. i said you need two main things to win comm matches: good strategy (that's me), AND a team who flawlessly carries out the strategy (that was everyone else). thus it's totally wrong of you to act like i was saying it was all me. i've been very clear about my praise for everyone on my team, which was genuine.

thirdly, it would be totally wrong to say i said "the renforums team was not better". more organised = better. what i said was a rebuttal to TD that we just had players with more individual skill. not the same thing at all.

Quote:

Seriously, learn to SHUT THE FUCK UP. Then get yourself a new hobby, maybe then will someone actually be able to have a peaceful conversation with you.

the original pointsfix debate, the one in which you started your furious renerage against me despite me doing nothing wrong to you, was quite peaceful until you started bawling like a baby at being wrong. pointsfix debates tend to go that way. and if you react badly to being refuted, it does not automatically follow that the opponent did something unfair in the process, any more than losing a game of renegade means the enemy must have cheated.

Quote:

We get it, the fact that you led, helped to win the games for renforums, there is no need to keep proving your point

but there is a need to repudiate what TD and rcmorr said.

You lost me. So you like to be proven wrong in debates, and you like to be proven right in debates, yet you don't debate for debating sake? I don't see how you getting all defensive, and attacking others is a "relevant" debate. The fact that you led the renforums team, and they congratulated you on a job well done, and the fact that you thought that it wasn't cleared up enough makes me think you are the one insecure here. It's like you were begging people to see that you were a big aspect in the win.....if that is a "relevant" argument for you, than you need to go play more pool.

I'm beginning to wonder if you can read properly or not. LEAVING AN ARGUMENT BECAUSE OF A LOST CAUSE, IS NOT LOSING an argument. There is no defined winner or loser in an "argument" like we had, which i still personally don't see as an argument. Read the topic again, i simply posted that i agree with you in most cases, that simply wasn't enough for you, so you turned against me. How is this ME ATTACKING YOU!? Seriously, are you that insecure that when one person says they don't agree with you fully, you feel the need to attack them? Man, that sucks. I'm much like you in that i don't mind being proven wrong, as long as the person proving me wrong isn't making a fool out of me as well. I don't know if that's what you felt i did or what, but you have seemed to never get over it since then.

So in other words, it was 50% you, 50% the other 11 or so people? I wasn't there, so it very well could have been, just sounds to me like it was more of a team effort, than a win because the commander was good. I very much think that there is more to winning comm matches than just strategy, and a team that carries it out, like adapting, skills, etc, etc? Or am i alone on that one?

Quote:

the original pointsfix debate, the one in which you started your furious renerage against me despite me doing nothing wrong to you, was quite peaceful until you started bawling like a baby at being wrong

I lol'd. if your memory is that bad...well, just re read the topic, i was the one trying to keep the points fix debate to a minimum, before being attacked by you.

Unfair in an argument on a forums for an 8 year old game? Wasn't aware that there were laid out rules to our argument, or that either of us broke any of them.

I would be the first to admit if i lost an argument, you on the other hand, are not willing to end it at that.

So you would blame yourself? Doubtful in all meanings of the word.

that is not the only other option.

here's what you originally said:
"One main reason is that i know that if something went wrong, Spoony would immediately target the players he dislikes first."

anyone who knows anything about me could point out that i don't make excuses for losing, nor handle losing badly at all, so long as the winner played fairly. i'm also not so illogical as to attach blame purely based on an separate dislike.

here's what i said i'd come back to. you said i have no logs? perhaps... but here's a specific example. i distinctly remember game on Under, i think it was in exodus server. i was on gdi. you were flaming some guy and eventually challenged him to a 1v1. i thought you were freaking out, but i do also recall interjecting with my opinion that 1v1s are not so worthless as some people in the server asserted.

am i making that particular instance up, then? let me elaborate. we also pm'd each other asking who the other was.

go back and read the post of TD's i was originally replying to. there's nothing insecure in that. i didn't particularly feel i needed to stick up for my own leadership, but i sure was going to stick up for my team's organisation. i think it's a point that needed to be made. i've heard over and over again the kind of nonsense TD spouted, usually from clanwars players. i refuted it every time i heard it.

need for joy in my life? ummmmmmmmmm no
stick up for my team, and re-assert the superb performance of my guys in terms of teamplay? and re-assert my long-held view that organisation trumps individual skill (which i've pointed out many many many times before)? yeah that'd be it.

i would think it quite odd that that ^^ would offend you, but then you seem to get offended really easily, for no reason at all... look at your current renerage towards me. i've certainly done you no wrong.

You are by no means making it up, you are just remembering the instance completely wrong. The guy asked me to a 1v1, because he said that i was something along the lines of "a noob cheater." Then when i accepted, he said that he didn't want to anymore, because 1v1s proved shit. You then joined in the conversation, stating that 1v1s do prove something, and they are difficult to get good at. I then agreed with you, so we pm'd each other, telling each other our real identities.

My cause is to attempt to eventually get it in your head that you are being an ass by debating every little thing that may or may not be wrong, in your opinion. If that fails, at least everyone else can see through the bs easier, hopefully.

You should be a comedian. While everyone else was attempting to avoid another pointsfix debate, you were looking to start another one, to try and clear a few things up, that weren't cleared up in the previous topics.

This happens to be the ONLY thread where i was the one to start an argument with you. Let me go back to my lettering usage:
A. Opinion's cannot be wrong.
B. There was no debate before your post, that had anything to do with the pointsfix, besides the word "pointsfix", you felt you needed to clear more things up, so started it again there.
C. Bawling like a baby, please, bring proof, quote me "bawling like a baby." Making stuff up is rather pathetic Spoony.

This is the like, what, third time you have posted this? Yet you fail to respond to me saying that I don't get how you can cheat in an argument on a forums, for a 8 year old game. I never once said anything you did was unfair, i never once said you "cheated", and i never once said i lost or won the argument, it was between people stating how they think the pointsfix is for the better, and for the worse....not a winning or losing case. I still think my points made outweighed your points made sufficiently too, honestly. Yet i don't go saying i won 100 times over again, just to attempt to anger the opponent.

I hereby give permission for this to be spammed to hell with "serious busniz" pictures. move this to the Heated Discussions subforum.

An actual, serious note: Spoony is unable to move topics out of the forums for which he is a moderator, therefore his only option would've been to request a move, which I'm not sure even works.

I've done it now, but there are no grounds (given the utterly stupid technical limitations of the forums) to question his moderation position.

Spoony is only a moderator of the Tactics and Strategies subforum, not the Clan/Community subforum.

here's what i said i'd come back to. you said i have no logs? perhaps... but here's a specific example. i distinctly remember game on Under, i think it was in exodus server. i was on gdi. you were flaming some guy and eventually challenged him to a 1v1. i thought you were freaking out, but i do also recall interjecting with my opinion that 1v1s are not so worthless as some people in the server asserted.

am i making that particular instance up, then? let me elaborate. we also pm'd each other asking who the other was.

I then agreed with you, so we pm'd each other, telling each other our real identities.

correct

Sorry, couldn't help but laugh.

Quote:

In other words, you get enjoyment out of every argument you go into? Interesting.

well, it's better than being angry when proven wrong, and participating in debates despite the fact you hate them...

My cause is to attempt to eventually get it in your head that you are being an ass by debating every little thing that may or may not be wrong, in your opinion. If that fails, at least everyone else can see through the bs easier, hopefully.

Quote:

i didn't say it was amusing to debate, i said it was amusing when people behave as pathetically as e.g. you did in the pointsfix debate, although you are by no means the only one. i also did not intentionally try to make you angry... you got angry all by yourself.

You should be a comedian. While everyone else was attempting to avoid another pointsfix debate, you were looking to start another one, to try and clear a few things up, that weren't cleared up in the previous topics.

Quote:

i did not say you are in an anti-spoony club, or associated with each other at all. i will say, however, that for all three of you, your reasons for despising me are equally feeble.

Loki hates you because you won't let him play cw.cc, nunega hates you because you are an ass. I hate you because you must start an argument every chance you get. Equally feeble?
Quote:

i suppose it wouldn't be. thankfully that isn't what happened at all, so your post isn't relevant either.

You still think that someone else said something about you to start the debate, and you were just there defending yourself? Are you even reading the same topic as me?

Quote:

go back and read the post of TD's i was originally replying to. there's nothing insecure in that. i didn't particularly feel i needed to stick up for my own leadership, but i sure was going to stick up for my team's organisation.

Quote:

It's like you were begging people to see that you were a big aspect in the win.....

i don't particularly care whether anybody sees that.

Quote:

because that was the one and only comm match i've led where my team totally didn't listen to the leader.

Quote:

Quote:

and my strategy worked flawlessly on volcano...

but we did it better... again, thanks to superior leadership and teamwork

Quote:

it indeed was my leadership and our superior teamwork that won the game.

Quote:

just so long as they follow the leader we won't go too far wrong.

Quote:

the fact i'm sure quite a few other players - better ones - were positively encouraged to play by the prospect of me leading the team.

Quote:

...yet if i didn't tell as many people to take the hill as i did, your arties would've overcome the MRLSs earlier. we only just killed the obelisk before the MRLSs were beaten back. fewer MRLS and fewer hotwires, even one or two, probably = ob survives

I seem to be lost once again. You don't care, yet you need to keep telling everyone over and over again....what did i miss?

Quote:

i think you're the one who needs to read the topic again, buddy. you posted a huge list of entirely wrong statements, and me and a couple of others pointed that out. then you started freaking out.

What was something i posted wrong? It was an argument over OPINIONS, you cannot have a WRONG opinion. The facts that i posted backing up my opinions were not wrong at all. I could say that you were proven wrong, because my opinion was superior to yours too, but honestly, i'm not that desperate to "win" an argument.

Quote:

you made a fool out of yourself, champ. like i said at the time, there's no shame at all in admitting you were wrong about something, even if you were wrong as categorically and as often as you were in that thread. the shame comes when you try to pretend it never happened, or act like your opponent did something wrong just because he outwitted you.

What? Outwitted? It's not like we were playing a sport, it was basically me stating my opinion, you getting all angry because you didn't agree, so you quote spammed me for a good 4 pages. I left for a weekend, and came back to find you claiming you "beat" me. Yet you don'r care if you win or lose an argument? What?
Quote:

... interesting, since you're the one who keeps posting in random threads trying to attack me (despite the fact i've done no wrong to you), not the other way around.

This happens to be the ONLY thread where i was the one to start an argument with you. I felt it necessary, as I really want you to see what you are doing, in making a douchebag out of yourself, and others can see it as well. It's not hard to see through what you are trying to do, I'm sure by now nearly everyone can see it...
Quote:

the original pointsfix debate, the one in which you started your furious renerage against me despite me doing nothing wrong to you, was quite peaceful until you started bawling like a baby at being wrong.

Quote:

and if you react badly to being refuted, it does not automatically follow that the opponent did something unfair in the process, any more than losing a game of renegade means the enemy must have cheated.

Quote:

Quote:

We get it, the fact that you led, helped to win the games for renforums, there is no need to keep proving your point

but there is a need to repudiate what TD and rcmorr said.

Yet you clearly haven't acknowledged what we have said, so yes, yes there is.

I'm almost done feeding birdseed to the already fatass bird, don't worry.

I have better things to do than argue with someone who lives for it anyway. Congrats Spoony, you can now have the pride in thinking you have won 2 arguments against me. Man you must be happy.
