With my main Ren comp down and unable to play, I am bored as hell for the past 3 days. But I had a Apache model lying around that I always wanted to mod into a Nod Apache from Ren...never had the time.

So last night I decided to work on it today and finish it by tonight or tommorrow. Razz

Now this Apache goes so well alongside my Orcas from my UBER Ren collection lulz:

This Apache gonna kick some GDI ass once it gets a nice black Nod color scheme with Nod logos and all! I am working on the Apache now and just took it apart; the rotor blades and cockpit canopy were very difficult to take out but I just managed to without damaging them:

I will update this thread as I go along this project. The good thing is that I have many of these Apaches in my collection. So if this project is a success and once I get a squadron of Apaches for myself, I can quickly mass produce these Nod Apaches and give em out if anyone wants one! Very Happy

So next step is to dip the metal fuselage of the Apache into my industrial strength paint stripper...is gonna turn all silver once that green paint comes off. Big Grin

ty! I too hope it turns out very good. Big Grin

So my paint stripper did its job and now the fuselage is all stripped off. It is now ready for the primer. After that I would paint it black and top it off with a nice clear coat.

But I wanna let this dry off and return to room temperature. I was working outside and its sooooo cold. Razz

So while that is going on, I am going to prep the cockpit glass now. The green cockpit frames must be painted black but the paint should not touch the glass. To get a nice result, I have to cover the glass with paper tape. This will allow me to spray-paint the frame without the paint going on the glass.

Got the cockpit covered with paper tape. I had to cut out the left-over tape using a hobby knife so only the frame remains uncovered. Was a PAIN tbh. But I think I got the hang of it

So tommorrow I will print the high quality Nod emblem decals while I begin spray-painting the parts. It's gonna be easy from now on... Big Grin

Of course not! I won't forget the Nod logos and crimson stripes on the tail. Razz

Allright all...I got your names down for the Apache!

So I could not do anything due to ridocules weather. Today I was able to spray it with primer. The primer penetrates all the tiny holes in the metal and helps the paint to stick.

Looking good lol
