Does anyone know why windowed mode renegade on xp pro, with command line arguments make my screen turn off, and why my speakers play ren music when there off...

if its a black screen, and you have script 3.4.4 i suggest reinstall 3.4.4

windowed mode, my whole screen turns off. Very strange that my vista doesnt have a problem :S

Maybe theres something wrong with the graphic driver or something? Maybe updating the drivers might help

If you ran The Scripts 3.4.4 installer as suggested earlier, then run it again and DO NOT check "BLOOM" or "SHADERS".

Might be old hardware failing with bloom and shaders...

why does it work from link but not command line, arguments?

all of the exes work when i make shortcut with arguments is when it goes wrong....

The scripts EXE or Renegade?

If it's Renegade, make sure the "start in" and working directories are correct...

i right clicked then shortcut added the command line arguments and on execution it popups lags then turns the screen off.

i replaced ip and port as i dont not wish to share it.

This works fine on vista.

screen turning off is a resolution issue, try changing it to something else.

try running the game without any added command stuff, and see if it works. Then you might find the issue

I use it all the time, without command-line, also if i hibernate my pc, and come back it shows fine, but disconnects the network.
