I reinstalled windows xp (service pack 3) a few days ago and when I tried to install renegade, this happened
basically, when I click install the error pops up right away
I've had to reinstall renegade many times in the past and this has never happened before. Any help is appreciated

weird, maybe admin rights?
also maybe you could download an iso of the game and see if its the setup that is curropted? im sure someone got links to the iso..
