Dunno if any of you guys have experience with cell phones, but I thought I'd post this here anyways, never know...
Anyway,
I have a Nokia 6085 cell, and I have placed several .jar apps on the phone. Most of them work fine, but some cannot do their proper function because the phone restricts its access capabilities. For instance, I can't use a .jar music player because the phone will not allow the app to access either my phone memory or my micro-sd memory. If I highlight the app and go to options>application access, I see where it is set to "not allowed", yet I cannot change it to "allowed" because it's greyed out and tells me "not available for this app." This happens to every single .jar I put on it.
Does anyone know how to make the phone allow apps to have these permissions?

you'd have to have your phone unlocked. You can do it yourself or pay some stores to do it

Hmm, I thought that had strictly to do with what carrier you could use the phone with - I ought to be able to edit app permissions within AT-T.
Unless AT-T is the one preventing it, kinda like Verizon locking up a lot of their phones to prevent modding.
