Recruit

Ok so.. sort stroy long.... So i just installed the
game renegade on my computer and when i pressed
"Renegade" on the desktop the renegade little intro box
screen comes up and u wait for couple seconds then
i was waiting for the game to load and it doesnt
so i reinstalled it and same problem the
game doesnt load to the menu of Renegade...
ive played this game before and it worked
before, i installed the
lastest update for my graphics card and
before when it worked that was before the reformat but the reformat didnt mess up my comp it helped
it but idk which drivers do i need updated for the game?

Thanks if someone helps and solves the
problem and i give you luck
ive had problems like this but diffrent with other games untill
i updated my graphics card and they worked fine exept this one
so PLSSS>>>!!!!

Did you try running Renegade from the "game.exe" in the game directory, rather than using the shortcut?

If this doesn't work, try installing core patch 2, as explained here: http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=24533&start=0&rid=4 882 . It will add a new exe file which may work.

Actually, I'd advise you to install the different patches as explained in that sticky, to be sure renegade starts using directx 9 instead of directx 8 (since you updated your video drivers).

im pretty sure ive got
the direct x 9 version but im not sure
ill go to website and do the downlaod and if it
works then maybe that was prob but idk
ok ill downlaod it now thanks!

after download
after i downloaded cp2 a zip came up on my winrar
and then what do i do with it?
i dont know how to use zips.. or do anything
whith zips
and i tryed anyone one there is patchall.RTP
??wtf
theres not patcher.exe

The .exe is in the .zip. Open the zip file and copy the .exe and .dll in it to your ren dir. Same for the patchall.rtp. Then run the exe.

theres no exe or dll in the patchall.zip file or the
other file ether in the patchall.zip has the patchall.rtp
in it and when u open it you view the code(this thing..
îv?ä? 0 Øâ ÐÙ5? T ' 'SOFTWARE\RenGuard)
that kind of stuff...and the other file which somehow got
lost somewhere was the same thing opn the zip folder and there
is the code thing

umm when i put them both in the folder(patcher.exe and patchget.dat) i pressed patcher.exe and the small black
screen poped up and sayed
"Cant find the patch" Sarcasm

You also need patchall.rtp in there. Patchall is the patch itself, patcher just installs it.

Mirror 1: it wont let me go any farther hen 3min 11seconds untill
finished it sayed that windows doesnt accept it or something..

Mirror 2: it opens file and the patch 10.37 is there i try and open it it sayes The archive is either in unknown format
or damaged and other is Cannot Execute

so please make another mirror that works for me pls

faster cause i just free'ed up the
regestry with the auslogic boostspeed
the internet seems faster but i could
just be imagining it...

Try uninstalling restarting your pc then reinstall, if the game doesnt work restart your pc again then try it...

Reinstall scripts 3.x (see the install guide). If it still doesn't work, do as suggested: reinstall completely following the reinstall guide.

Thanks guys for helpin me with this serius situation
it went fine untill i tryed going to westwood online it stoped me beacuse i deleted the westwood online component LOL
soo if someone could make me a copy pls that would
be wonderfull.
Were almost there just another pinch of salt and weve
got the ingridents!
