is it possible to make stealth blackhand's and deadeye's, client side? I want to make my deadeye's and blackhand's look like an sbh when the sbh shoots.
This is my first post, so don't be harsh =/ I am use to skinning and such and I know a little bit about renegade modifying. I know that the stealth effect has nothing to do with skining. I have looked all over the web for tutorials that could explain how I can modify the renegade infantry, could anyone please give me a brief explanation of what program I need and essentially what i would need to do.

after rereading your first post i realized thats not the way I wanted to go. I simply want to give the snipers (deadeye and blackhand) an sbh effect (you know the moving effect on an sbh's body?) i don't want to make them invisible. sorry if the title was misleading =[.

ok... so then you will be able to use those online but the process is harder. You will still need renegade public tools and gmax. And install renx game pack into gmax. You will have to import deadeye/bhand model into gmax then apply the texture (M). And then add a scrolling stealth_effect.tga texture on top. I can't provide the tutorial because renegadehelp.net sucks and has broken images
