I've tried a normal installation of Renegade CD to my local drive, and at about 20% setup crashes. Happens every time.
Tried running in different compatibility modes (xp, 2000, etc). Running in admin mode.
All graphics, sounds, and interfaces work perfectly up to about 20% installed.
Did preliminary searches online and through these forums, but can't find a similar problem.
Running Vista Home Premium 32bit, nVidia 8800M GTS, latest drivers, etc.
Is this a corrupted game cabinet file?
EDIT: [spelling errors]

Thank you for the link, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I don't see an appropriately labeled iso file. Will this be the link I eventually obtain it from?

You must be blind its alphabeticaly orginized so how hard could it have been to see it lol omg.

I must be, for I do not see it. Perhaps if you could drop the name of the file.
I see RenegadeICO.zip, which I imagine must be an icon, not ISO. I see RenLauncher_Setup.exe, which I'm guessing is a front end for running the game, not a replacement for the setup.exe that seems to be malfunctioning for me. I see RG_Compatible_NoCD.zip, which must be a patch to an already installed game, not an iso. Maybe I'm mistaken on one of these items.
Please kindly drop the name. Thank you.

Hieran_Del8 wrote on Sat, 26 September 2009 03:28 | Fail, now at 0%. Maybe the iso was corrupted in download. Or maybe it's just my os. Yeah. That's a lot easier to say. Well, I'll test the installation on a different computer. If it works, I'll have to devise a way to embed the serial into the program and register it with the system. Has any work been done on this already?

Well i went over to a buds place , used his pc and went to my ftpsite and downloaded the iso and a few other files and no problems in the download or opening any of the files,so yeah like you said , i think it is something on your end for sure, good luck with that.
Sorry to hear your pc is in such bad shape.
