Should Scripts 3.4.4 be required?[ 35 votes ]

UPDATE: I am going to ask that everybody get scripts 3.4.4 It will not be required at the moment, but would be nice if most people had it.

I think everybody can agree this will keep the tournament as clean and cheat free as possible.

If you have lag issues with 3.4.4, try disabling shaders + bloom.

Just a friendly tech support note:

Decheck BOTH "BLOOM" and "SHADERS" when installing Scripts 3.4.4 unless you have a PC that can run Crysis at 60+ FPS.

I don't even use 3.4.4, I stick with 2.9.2. Same goes for some of my members, except they use RR with it.

I guess you can count me out of the tournament. I can't be arsed with 3.4.4.

That's a bit of an overstatement but if you don't even have the chance to get into the BHS.DLL Options menu to check off shaders due to the black screen, you should remove the 2 .sdb files found in the data folder.

it's not hard to install it, it's just shitty and makes my game freeze up and crash every single time i exit renegade

on my screen people also appear to glitch and warp when they jump with 3.4.4 when they don't in previous scripts

also, i couldn't help but notice i was getting stuck to things a lot more with 3.4.4 than i ever did without it

the only thing i like about it is the coked-out turret speeds

it apparently stops some things that earlier scripts do not
other than that for what reason would i have to get scripts 3.4.4 to play in your tournament? do we have to have the same matching skins and shit too or what? i'm not getting why i have to get it

At first it was required, afterwards people complained because they refuse to input 30 seconds of time, so he changed the requirement to a poll.

I would be more than hhappy to cut + paste all my .dds files into another folder before playing.

No one is going to do that. RG just makes you lag and if someone uses a non default reticle they arent gonna switch.

It takes 10 seconds to put in. and 10 seconds to put them back out.

Also ensures fairness. I can almost guarantee SOMEONE will complain about another community cheating and/or useing advantage skins
