i have this problem that seems to be getting steadly worse, every once and a while i get an error messge that says for me to save all my work and says that the system mush shut down due to a romot protocall procedure and it gives me 60 seconds. i think it might have to do with that anti worm protection i removed but it has happend before..
ahh its happeing riht now!!!

Do a search of your system to see if you can find msblast.exe... You probally have that worm that has been going around.

Check this page. it has a tool that supposedly removes the worm from your computer. No garuntees though, i dont have the worm, and have not tested these methods.

You might have the w32.blaster.worm file which keep shutting down your computer. If you have it OR you think you might have it then do this:

Download the FixBlast.exe file from:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe

To keep the PC from rebooting while running this fix... do a CTRL+ALT+DEL Goto Task Manager and end the process on msblast.exe.

After you run the fix, go to windows updates to patch up your system

i got it fixed, i hope... but just a warning DONT DELETE THAT PATCH, liveing with haveing to mearge in saved work is better then your comp diciding to shut down on you every 5 or so minets
