Hey. As some of you who know me or have seen my other posts might remember me mentioning how badly I wanted to join the Military or be a Law Enforcement Agent.Well, my dream was cut short because of chronic back problems. Well today I walked into the surgeons for my appointment and for the last few years I have been the things he has handed to me with tons of enthusiam in hope of improving my back in whatever way possible to live my dream. Well today he told me the words that just changed my life. He said that I was cleared and would be able to do what I wanted.

Now onto about the U.S. Army Special Forces. Its been a dream of mine to be part of an elite team like this that can go in it out without being noticed, only to leave the enemy lying on the ground wondering what hit them.Well know that im cleared to join and only have one more year until graduation I have been considering hopefully branching into that part of the service. While I still have some back problems(not enough to stop me) I am extremely fit for my age and prolly are one of the top in my school. So physically im there. Mentally im not. And I know that the special forces are all about mentality. I really dont care about people, you live and you learn and get f****d many times over. My motto is if you don't like me b*ow me. Now you might be wondering why im posting this here.......well ive been told my whole life I was a mistake and was not supposed to be born and that Ill never amount to anything, well now that I can prove them wrong I need your guys help.

Any information on being part of the Special Forces or being a Ranger would be greatly appreciated. Anyone that is actually a member or was would be even more appreciated and I would love to talk to you one on one!

Thanks so much Smile

LOL This has to be the joke of the century Canada's military doesnt own anyone. They spend next to nothing on it...probably a result of being neighbors with the super power of the world. The USA spends more $$ on the MARINES ALONE than all of the Canadian military Shocked

If DBB were to goto Canada he could maybe be 'special forces Mountie' LOL

I am from the UK Both my grandads were in the war and they both always told me about stupid things the americans did like accidentally killing each other, and also he said that they claimed all the glory for everything the english did for example. Can you remember the "enigma" the germans secret coding device which was portraited in the film U571 the english were the actual people that captured it from the U boat not the americans.
I have nothing against the americans so dont come back flaming me if you disagree it will just prove my grandads theory that the "americans think there allways right".

1 more thing all the ships that america sold to the UK WHICH we fitted with our own interior were sold back to the americans cause our country were in so much debt (if you didnt know the UK only just paid off all the money they owed from the war about a 2 years ago) and when they got back my grandad watched as everything we had built and crafted into the ships were ripped out by the americans and thrown out into big garbage trucks and taken off to a dump and this wasnt just a few seats and a desk or 2 it was extremely expensive equipment which the UK could have used.....

If i were to join an army it would be my home country the UK I mean we have such heritage you can't go anywhere aroud the english cost without bumping in to a old fort or musem where all out past heritage is stored. The United Kingdom used to be much more powerful and strong we discover lots of parts of the globe we were the first people to sail round the world we have the pride (well at least we used to)...

I just like the idea of fighting for queen and country the good old english but alas the days of pride have passed and we now are among the weaker powers of the world...

My pride still lives on so the UK would be my choice (MI5 = kool Very Happy ).

Yeah, proud about the British Empire? How it massacred millions of civilians all over the world and enslaved dozens of countries explointing the poeple and the resources? Sure, you are definately proud of that!

So your saying Americans are :
1) Blowhards
2) Stupid
3) Liars

"...they claimed all the glory for everything the english did for example."

So the Americans could of stayed @ home and WWII would of gone the same way ? Yes please do tell me how the English etc had the WWII situation all under control seeing as they drug us into it.

"I have nothing against the americans so dont come back flaming me if you disagree it will just prove my grandads theory that the "americans think there allways right". "

Your a fine piece of work, I bet you feel pretty nice about this post of yours. The line of thinking you present is pretty typical actually, try not to feel too special. I can see where your comming from by a fatal flaw in your speel(sp?). You presupose that anyone who disagees w/you will be an American. Implicating that no one else on the face of the earth should have anything good to say about this evil America of ours. What do you think would happen to the world economy if America closed off all trade and became an isolated country ? Well for starters Canada & Mexico would have to start acting like real countries instead of little brothers of the biggest kid on the block. FAR beyond that how happy would your world be ? According to you it seems it would be a much happier place. America does FAR MORE for the world than the world does for it see peace keeping missions, the removal of Hitler, BILLIONS of dollars in aid that we will NEVER get back...I mean for real the list is hella long.

I'm so sure Americans are the only ppl to have friendly fire deaths durring war...are you for real ? I dispose of things all the time that less fortunate ppl in other countries may have to work their WHOLE LIFE and still never have...sooooo whats your point.

I could play your silly game and say anyone who disagrees w/me and flames me back is proving my point that people aren't gratefull of America and the good things we do for the world. Not so much fun now, is it ?

Sometimes I wish us stupid blowhard Americans would close the borders, leave the UN and let the rest of the world enjoy an existence w/o us for a while.

PS. its America not america -- try and show a tinge of respect for the greatest nation on earth, the super power of the world...We may be handing you your country back one day.

Anyways its really late so I cant say/edit everything I'd like to.

You know it might be interesting to watch the united states close their borders. Then we can watch as their economy falls apart as they are mainly secondary industries. Only countries with enough primary industries could successfully close their borders. The united states would run out of oil, certain metals (copper is a major one), possibly food, maybe even water if us Canadians decided to dam some of the rivers flowing into the united states. Sorry about dropping to this level but I just can't hold back on oppertunities to throw my tiny bit of mud at the hulking beast that is in bad need of a power cap.

As for Canada's military, we anything but mal-equipt. We have what we need. You don't need millions of men to defend a country from wars that will not start within 50 years. We have a navy made mainly to support the UN. We have a military to aid UN actions. And we have an airforce assist the UN peacekeep. We don't worry about wars coming to our door. Sorry again I am a proud Canadian.

DDB good luck on your dream. Nice to hear you are finaly able to have a shot at at. Though I also hope you won't be exposed to too much combat. Wouldn't want you being injured.[/b]
