I am using leveledit, I have tried both versions (stock and Jonwil). Neither of these displays the scripts when I go to "add".

I have 3.4.4 installed(TFD), it works fine ingame. However, despite having scripts, scripts2 and bhs.dll in /renegade /data /leveledit/(modname/ /leveledit/(modname)/scripts and fake westwood renegade directories (and a few reinstalls) the scripts drop-down selection is empty... I've already fixed the missing presets tree stuff (changing the registry entry and adding in the missing (tm)), looked on renhelp.net and searched here. If anybody could give me a quick hand with this I'd be most grateful.

Oh yay! I just discovered I can't edit the strings either >.< whoop de doo! This is going well...

I wouls strongly suggest you use JonWil's leveledit.
It isnt working right because you have 'The First Decade' version of renegade. You'll have to apply a registry fix in order to get it to work.

http://www.renhelp.net/index.php?load=7

Otherwise you might want to try the original Leveledit and manually copy the scripts to you mod package Map.

NOTE: you will have to do that every time when you make a new package. JonWil's version takes the scripts automatically from the install directory so alot easier in use Thumbs Up

NOTE: it doesn't work with multiscript loaders, also has some useful features disabled...

Yeah.. Dont Get It I already did all that. Opened regedit and changed the registry entry of renegade (as detailed in that tut) so that the presets work. I have also tried using Jonwil's version of leveledit and it doesn't work either...

In short: I already tried that. Blush

Are you running Vista? If so, right-click the level-edit executable or shortcut and choose 'Run as Administrator'

If not, are you using Novell Antivirus?

Whats That Neither of the above, and after I posted this I had the misfortune to fry something in my PC... So for now I'm afraid this is going to have to be theoretical so I can fix it once I've repaited my computer. It is/was running XP SP2 with Comodo antivirus, it didn't bring up an alert or anything related to leveledit so I'm not sure if it had any affect on things.

I had yes, and I had also tried it without doing this. I may try without them again sometime.

Have you tried to use another Scrips? Because I did have a problem before with scrips (Renegade didn't start)
