Hey guys! first of all let me introduce myself, I have been playing CnC Renegade since it got released, played online from 2004-2007 mostly on EKT, St0rm and Baddogg servers if I remember correctly. Due to tight schedule and study pressures had to retire from the game. Its gud to see even after 7 years since the game went into retail this community is still growing with nothing to stop it from breaking the skyline.

Now that I am an Engeering student, I want to get back into the game and start from where I left off. Even though the gaming industry has pretty much developed with HD graphics, directional audio and real world architecture, for me Renegade has its own place in the gaming world and it can never be compared to present resource hogging FPSs. I heared about Tiberium Technologies and their work on Script 4.0/CP3, Baddogg has partnered with EKT, Renguard hasn't been updated this means the so-called Renegade H*** is still being exploited widely the way I saw in the end of 2007.

Am I missing something else? Sry I am too lazy to look on 2 year old posts. Can someone please brief me up guys?

Hmm as long as you have ren all updated and with cp2 with scripts 3.4.4 then pretty much besides TT adding feature and fixes and anti cheat to the game, rg being retired, then nothing really

theres also RR = renegade resurrection, its client and server side, few fixes, anti cheat, and kinda like direct connect

cnc reborn is back and being made...hopfully

Thanks everyone for the detailing. At this moment I am just as gud as a n00b. If someone can please also answer this:

1)Are scripts 3.4.4 completely stable? If they are then why not make it a compulsory CP3 since the one made by TT still doesn't have any whereabouts of its release.

2)Should I use RR patch first then install Script 3.4.4 or vice-versa?

3)Why hasn't Renguard been updated and SSnipe said its getting retired? Has it got something to do with community's lack of trust in it?

As for RenegadeX, the effects are awesome. Doesn't look like our good'ol W3D engine Very Happy.

1)Are scripts 3.4.4 completely stable?

Well, there's always the chance of crashing, but I haven't had any notable problems. If you have somewhat recent hardware, you can use the bloom effects.

I think you should read up on what TT is actually doing for yourself.

If memory serves, it's one or the other. Not both.

Again, see what TT is doing.

I would hope not. It's Unreal Engine 3.

RR doesn't touch scripts.dll. However, it would be safer to install 3.4.4 first and then RR.
