The Nissan is still way more efficient, and better for the environment than the old n' shitty cars that would've been sent to the crusher. If people want to use their old car as credit to a new one, it should be one of their choice anyways, be it a GT-R, Corvette, or a Prius.

The premium they'll get will be a very small % of the 81.000 $ it costs, of course. It's hard to draw a line, really, in this kind of problems.

That makes me smile. Also, they didn't say what the clunkers were so it is possible that they did get more effecient cars.
