if EA really cares about makin so much money, why don't they make renegade2 ffs, didn't renegade itself sell alot, so by makin renegade2 they will even make more money than ever, do you know how many renegade fans were waitin for renegade2 to come out, heh, if EA is really thinkin about money, he should rethink of revivin Renegade2, if not so, then they wont be thinkin about renegade2.
Honestly guys, you tell me, didn't renegade sell alot, huh?

Renegade did sell a lot but they didn't make nowhere near as much as they expected, I have no knowledge of there exact finaces but I belive they could well have been at a loss so after that I don't think they will attempt a Renegade 2 just incase this time they do run into a loss.
If you think how long Renegade was in development you will get a good idea of how much it would be mounting up to and after it was done they still had to pay to make things like the gmax plugin.
Theres a lot more to think about when your the leader of a multi-millon pound company, one wrong move could be the end of you.
I wish people would put more thoughtt into things b4 they start slagging off at EA, ok I think they would make a profit on Renegade 2 but it will take more than a few thousand people to convince them they are going to be doing the right thing by making this game.

The point is:
EA SUCKS
And they don't give a shit about their customers.
I mean, really. They tried to charge $50 for TSO, then another $15 a month. It's complete bullshit. I was in the beta, it was a great game......just way too much money.

it has never been $15, as i have been paying for at least one membership since it started (plus even i was a beta tester). TSO is well supported, and they even have a complete test center, and care about there customers feedback. This is maxis doing this, they are a successful company, and are pretty much entitled to do what they want with there software & how they update/progress it.
EA has too many customers to be honest to be able to cater to all there needs, although, they still manage to profit around $40 billion a year. So, if you want to get there attention, one person can not simply say "hey, we want this game" you must make a movement that they can look at and go "ok, $49.99 x 20,000 <> good sales, $49.99 x 3+ million = good sales"
plus they have to pay the developers for the time of the game development, post development, and then you have a full support staff, servers, web, marketing, distrobution, etc...
basically, if 20,000 people cry for it, there may be 100,000, which currently isn't enough to be able to make a profit off of it.
its really all just economics and basic math.
im not saying i would love to have Ren2, god i would dream for it, but it can't happen according to the math.

EA sucks.
If they didn´t close Westwood, Renegade would be same like Battlefield1942. An example is the GDI-APC. There is an interior to sit in and in the Editor there are animations when the Player sits in a Vehicle.
But they wanted to release it together with Medal of Honor.
That 2 Titles were awsome.
So you see.
If they had cpmplete CCR like Westwood planed it, it would sell good.
I think that they work on CCR2. Not long after release of CCR1 there were news about CCR2 and it appears models with a very high PolyCount.
The W3D-Engine was not good enough to process with good FPS too and so they are working on the Engine.
PS: Generals uses the same Engine like Renegade. It´s only made some better.
