Need help setting up a server. [message #386777]

I've been trying to setup a renegade server for gamespy, but whatever I do, nothing seems to go right. I've downloaded everything I need, but there's still problem. I'm not the best at computers, so I'm not sure if it's the post number, the IP, or the renegadeFDS. So I'm going to start fresh.

Can someone give me a complete walkthrough on how to create a renegade gamespy server? Downloads and everything. I don't know, is this game too old to create new servers?

Okay first of all:
A.) You posted in the wrong forum, this needs to go into the Win32FDS forum.

Ok, I downloaded renegade resurrection for server owners. I hosted a game on westwood online (In game), it opened up resurrection, and everything worked except it failed to create or connect a channel. I still have the name, password, serial from the tutorial, is that the reason? If so, what should I change it to?
