I've been following this 'supergroup' for a bit, and I'm pretty excited to hear the rest of their material.

"Soap on a Rope" is very disappointing. The solo is decent, I suppose... better than you'd hear from most bands, but the song is so boring and doesn't even push any boundaries, even in the slightest. From a supergroup, you'd expect... more.

"Down the Drain" is considerably better, still boring, though. The second solo is actually impressive, something more along the lines you would expect from Satch. Still, I don't want to wait until 5 minutes into a song before I can even get into it.

Hardly, I'd only give Satriani that title. There are much better bands than RHCP and Van Halen, too. Oh, and Roth > Hagar.

I have the album on pre-order. Hopefully some decent sales will give Eddie the kick in the ass needed to start a new album that will let us forget about VHIII.
