Stumbled accross something... [message #377717]

well in renx today I stumbled accross the cure to a problem that has eluded me since I began. I would accidently press F and it would give me this werid magnify glass in place of my field of view button. It made it very hard to see into models or w.e I was making anyways I found a cure to it. Im sure I wasnt the first to have figured this out but I would like to report this very annoying thing to help others out.

Now to fix this is very simple, when u start renx u get the split screen of 4 boxes.

Simple fix click on the screen named perspective and the magnify glass goes away!!!!! I am a happy camper now I use to just save my progress and merge it into a new document, now I know what is happening!!!! Note: It has a red square around the screen u have selected. Hope it helps!

Pressing F should just change the view of whichever window you have selected to "Front."

Just like B for "Bottom," L for "Left, R for "Right," and P for "Perspective," ect.

Unless I misunderstood what you were saying..

I do believe you could have also just clicked the mouse pointer on the top too bar.

Also, there are different "modes" for some of the tools in that corner. Just click and hold on one of the tools with a little black arrow on the corner and it will extend into a list of different modes to chose from.

So, in your case, when you get that "Region Zoom" icon(or little magnifying glass as you put it) just click on it and hold then change it back to "Field-of-View"

Personally the first thing I do when opening RenX is set it to only have one view. Having four different ones just confuses the heck out of me Rocked Over

Lol, I do the exact same thing!

Try using the normal layout, and when you want to use only a single view select it and press W.
