E.g. if I set up a server with my mod, it will not appear in the XWIS-server list for most users, because there is a different cameras.ini in the directory. so renegade handles the mod like a different game version.

for the one who has installed the mod with this ini file, only servers with the same ini-file appear at ones XWIS server list.

this is bad, because nobody knows that such a server is alive.

can this be changed in TT? the way different camera-ini-files dont influence vissibility of servers?

XWIS sorts available servers based on your objects.ddb. It's how APB and Reborn can have their own listings without showing Renegade servers.

As for cameras.ini, I don't know. But this fix is out of the hands of TT as this is an XWIS deal. Wink

Cameras.ini is a client side tool, so even if you modded it for the server it won't change the game play for any clients, therefore you might as well remove it.

I tested this a few times:

- i started Renegade with my modified cameras.ini in the directory: I was not able to see any servers in XWIS

- i removed the cameras.ini and started again: all servers showed up

There must be a relation between it.

There is, it will probably be possible to put it in a mod package of some kind (don't think of .pkg file here) which the client can download. I can't give any more details about this atm, but we aim to make it possible.
