I played a full length, all out war with 10 players this morning for the first time in a month and a half. I have been moving my family, and switching jobs, etc... so time to play games was limited by no dial up, and family needs.
It took me 2 minutes, and I was rehooked.
I am astounded at how much fun I can still have after playing this game since inception. It NEVER gets old. I am excited at the prospect of seeing RENALERT, and DEAD6 soon, as it's hard to believe this gets better.
There is nothing like an excellent tank battle and sniper removal to get the blood pumping.
VIVA RENEGADE!
You know, the death of Westwood hasn't been all bad, as the mod community really took off, once there was no hope for a patch in the future.

I'm not saying I don't like Renegade or anything, but I dunno. Ya'll make it sound like it is the greatest FPS made(is it really an FPS?)
It just seems that everytime I get that urge play Renegade, I get more and more depressed. There was that one time where I would play it everyday and stuff. But ever since I've played any other game, I just don't feel that compelled.
For some reason, I can feel a Firestorm comin' on........................

Oh come on guys, I mean its not that I don't like it or anything. Its just that with all this hype about all these new mods coming out and everything else, I just think about the rest of the Renegade community. Do they know about this new found life? I just feel that one day all Renegade is gonna be is all about the Die-Hard fans. I dunno, I'm just expecting the worst.
