easy question about multiplayer practice [message #375217]

hello, I just installed renegade back on my computer after a couple years of not playing. I do not play online therefore I only play multiplayer practice, and I'm trying to mod it to make it better.

My question is, how can I edit the tree in the default multiplayer practice level? I do not know which dds file it is, I looked through all of them! I will provide a screenshot if necessary. I know how to edit the bark of the tree, I just need to know how to edit the rest. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is driving me crazy.

Also, if anyone knows any good mods for multiplayer practice please let me know. I'm not looking for skin mods (besides the one I asked for above). I'm talking about weapon spawns, more bots, etc.

I hope someone can help me out with this Smile

Ok you can use Level Reedit to bring the map back into LE with everything it has now.http://www.renhelp.net/downloads/LevelRedit.zip
You should also get John wills LE here.http://www.renhelp.net/downloads/LevelEdit_Jonwil.zip
I will also add this you must temp everything you want to show up in your map.

So far all I did is texture mods where I modify the dds files with photoshop and then just put them in the data folder from renegade, I don't use gmax or any of that. It would be the easiest for me if I knew which dds file changed the tree.

yo!!! OK, i know the exact name of the file:

pine_green.dds AND
pine_snow.dds

That changes the leaves colours. I attached them here so you can download and edit!

You just need to make up a name that isn't taken. And servers generally have anti-cheats ot ban people that cheat. And in some cases if they happen to slip by then there will be moderators on big servers.

yes mods do help you alot and yes there are some cheaters but it's no big deal i mean it's not like everyone hacks i don't it's not for me i can own people with out them and it's really funny when you own the cheater and they ask you "Why don't my cheats work, how are you owning me when i have cheats" i've had that happen alot it is funny when they give themselves away
