I think it was "Tomorrows World" that showed a similar technology with a spinal tap, it helped women acheive orgasm when previously they had never really enjoyed sex, or managed to climax.
The first women that tried it said that before using it she had never managed to reach climax through sexual penetration, but rather just rarely through foreplay and oral stimulation of the clitoris. This had affected her sex drive all her life.
After the trial perdiod ended and they had to take the impant out, she at first refused, then after they remined her of her contractual obligation she offered them several thousand pounds to keep the implant, or be the first person to get the next version which was supposed to be more discreet.
This first version had wires or something I remember coming out of her back (weird :S).
At the end of the day, I hate the idea of spinal taps and implants in my brain, but if I was faced with either that or I couldn't enjoy sex, I'd probably go for the brain implants and hope that didn't labotomise me.
