Maybe find out exactly what it's called, and then see if Symantec offers a 'Removal Tool' for it.

http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/removaltools.jsp

If not, then at least people on here would know what you're dealing with.

1.) Make sure you've got a current anti-virus program installed, as well as a good anti-malware program (I recommend Spybot or Malwarebytes), and make sure both are up to date in terms of virus definitions and other updates.

2.) Restart your computer in safe mode, and run those scans to their max ability.

3.) While in safe mode, open up msconfig (Start > Run, type "msconfig", no quotes). Be careful with this utility. Click the startup tab. Disable suspicious entries. When in doubt, Google it.

Should help considerably.

If you don't want EA to get any credit, destroy their Refinery. Duh.

1. Safe-mode with networking
2. Download and install either AVG, Avast! or your free AV software of choice
3. Run it
4. If it doesn't work, try another.

DO NOT google 'how do I get rid of *virusname*' as your hosts file may be infected and direct you to sites that are simply other variations of what you have.

5. If all else fails, install Linux
