Hey all.  I've recently begun to play C&C III: Kane's Wrath. My problem is, most of the times I fail to connect to most of the players. So I assumed I had to forward some ports. I went to www.portforward.com to look up what ports I had to open, and I found like 20 ports.
So I read what I had to do, and that's add them in my Virtual Server list, and that's what I did, but thing is, he can't add all of it, since I get the error: "Can't add new entry". I think I have 20 entries or so. That's when it says it can't add any more.
My router is a D-link, DI 524 btw.
I have to add 20 for KW, but I've already other entries for other stuff, so how do I solve this?
I already posted my issue on their forum, but am awaiting response, so I didn't see any hurt to ask some information here since I know there are smart people here.
Excuse me for my noobish explination since I'm no expert in this area.

Easiest, but less secure, is putting your router in DMZ (demilitarized zone), so all ports are open and run a software firewall.

What are the risks if I do that?
And I had a reply on another forum and he said I could put those 20 entries in only a few entries by opening them through a range. A few ports of KW are: 8089, 8090, 8091, 8092, 8093...etc
So if I do: "8089 - 8099" in one entry, it will forward all those ports?
This is the reply I got:
"Some of them should have a range, meaning like '10,000-10,019', which is 19 ports that can be forwarded in just 1 entry, which is what the firewall page can do.
From the advanced menu of the router, go to Firewall. The website should have taken you to a page that started off saying (about ¼ down the page),
" How do I open a range of ports on my DI series router using Firewall rules?"
So this would work too? What is preferable? Thanks for the help so far.

Well, I've chosen to be lazy and do that DMZ thing, I went on KW online, and it's a world of difference now, no more waiting for the right players.
I thank you for your time and information.
One more thing, so I need a new software firewall? Something like Zonealarm? Never heard of that ESET thing you mention, but that could be my lack of knowledge of software lol.

Well you got a few big titles (not arranged):
ZoneAlarm
McAfee
Norton
ESET (Nod32)
the first 3 are also known about there usage of perfomance. Especially on some older systems you will notice a BIG performance leech.
That's why i recomment using ESET. This is the expanded version of Nod32 actually. It leeches ~20mb less RAM and you will notice a lot less performance leech on older systems!!!
It is a Firewall+Spamfilter+Nod32 AntiVirus.

Yes Nod32 Ftw(For the Anti-Virus), though imho you're fine with a good anti-virus(that would be Nod32), the windows firewall, and a router firewall, Security packages that Norton and other companies sell are pretty useless considering they are just including things that really are useless and slow your computer down to a halt(and windows has some of those things already too).

No ports but individual programs. It will ask you every time a program it doesn't know yet wants to start, if you want to allow it.
Beware: first time you start a game, this may cause the screen to freeze because the firewall blocks the program from accessing the net and the program doesn't allow you to alt-tab back out. In this case you'll need to manually allow the game to connect to the net through "program control".
