Goztow wrote on Thu, 22 January 2009 23:41 | Do not take it apart! I had and still have the same problem. I tracked the problem down to the logitech software. If you disable it, I bet you don't get the problem anymore. However, then you can't use any of the preconfigured buttons anymore. Update the software doesn't help.
My advise: get used to it. I find it an advantage rather than a nuisance. When it gets stuck when I'm in a tank, the tank will keep shooting without having to press with my finger. If it gets stuck while repairing, it's even better. It's only annoying when it happens when you're throwing c4, really .

I hope thats it, It only does do this during renegade, Maybe, TOmmrow When i wake up im uninstall the software and set it all back up again and see if it works, damn setpoint

Try to blow some air underneath the button, most of the time this will get rid of the dust or whatever is underneath the button (I don't think I want to know).

I have this problem, and mine is only a few days old from brand new. I don't think the mouse itself is defective, it only does it in renegade.
EDIT: I also have the G5 mouse from logitech.

I have setpoint with my MXRevolution and have never had a problem (knock on wood).
If it is a physical problem SMALL amounts of rubbing alcohol will help clean it out. The key it to make sure it has had enough time to %100 dry before you give it power again.

I'm using a cheapo MS USB mouse and I get the same glitch some time.
Possibly to do with USB? (Can't see why, if Renegade gets its input from Windows Messages...)
Edit: Oh, this is really a tech support topic. Moved.
