There's no picture of the UFO, just the fucked up turbine.

Also, going all over Europe I've seen these damn things. There's no way wind could take off the blade of one and ruin another. If it was wind, the blade that was removed would be laying on the ground very near the turbine, but yet it hasn't been found? Right. Something fishy happened.

They found the missing blade all beat up. They tell in this video:

Probably a low flying plane imo...there was something flying afterall...

Though I would like it to be a UFO.

If the turbine was stationary then it takes alot more force to do that sort of damage, but as it is a turbine and moving, the force needed would be alot less. It does not strike me as totaly un-reasonable that a large bird struck it.

I heard someone where I work talking about it, saying they read on an some dudes blog who builds these turbines and designs them, and that dude reckoned it could be ice build up. The weather is cold enough, and if another turbine had a sheet of ice build up on it, and it started to thaw out and was flung from it's turbine and struck the one that's broke, it could of caused that damage.

Although I too would like it to be aliens, aslong as they was friendly. Smile

We just messed up their ship they aren't going to be very happy! Tell Me Big Grin

It's probably water that got in some tiny cracks and then froze. Same thing happened a little while ago on a ski lift. Collapsed one of the lift towers.

Check out what happens when these things spin too fast and don't have their breaks applied:

If that happens when one blade breaks, how the hell did that happen as said in the article?

Why must it be a UFO? Wind turbines have broke before, who is to say this was any different?

The people who said they saw 'strange tentacle lights' in the sky that night. Also the person who said they saw the lights collide with the turbine.

You can't discredit the damaged rotar blades of the wind turbines it would take a lot to damage them.

Yes you can. First of all, those things have inner breaks that are switched on automatically if it spins too fast. But, there is still the chance the breaks can fail, and when that happens, this is the result:

Therefore it is safe to assume that the turbine wasn't even spinning at the time of it breaking.

I'm all for believing that there are aliens out there, but if they're advanced enough to achieve half of the things the conspiracy nuts say they can do then they're advanced enough to detect and avoid stationary objects.

If they nailed their reentry after a journey of some thousands of light-years then ran into a fucking wind turbine then I don't think I'd really want to meet them anyway.

In case that was directed at me, I never said anything about a UFO, I just said its safe to assume something did hit it because the turbine was obviously stationary when it broke.

I highly doubt people just make stuff up like that. Of course some do but not all. Several years ago, very prominent people (including *COUGH* an ex-President) gathered to discuss/share their UFO sighting experiences.

Many skeptics dismissed them just like that before they even began their forum! We have had police officers, civilian pilots, military fighter pilots, and military officers all telling some convincing stories.

You can still of course choose not to believe but many of those same people mentioned above tell you to keep an open mind about it. Tell Me

I don't think you understand.

A UFO does not mean an alien. It never has, and it never will.

UFO = Unidentified Flying Object.

It's simply an object that is flying that isn't or can't be identified. It doesn't have to have anything to do with aliens...

Watch it turn out to be swamp gas refracting the light from Venus. You'll see.

I know what the acronym UFO means, but in this case I doubt it is meant as something man made. It is pretty obvious to see the tone of the Sun article, it is meant to imply extraterrestrial involvement.
