OK, I was running everything fine but my FPS showed 0. I thought I only needed the scripts. After I installed them, I couldnt connect
So, I uninstalled everything and reinstalled C&C:R with my valid serial.
I did the 9-steps exactly in order with CP2, then the scripts.
I renamed game2.exe to game.exe because Ren asked for the disk (Didnt get to the CANCEL screen as before)
I got a black screen, so I reinstalled DX9.0c for WinXP.
I still get a black screen.
Any ideas?
I have installed Resurrection but not Renguard yet.

ok, I looked for "black screen" and found advice to reinstall scripts.
That fixed it
Now that I got the game working (I can see it), I still cannot connect.
"Unable to connect
Unable to connect to Westwood Studios"
I assume installing the script package broke it? Thats what started me on this path in the first place. I tried them originally just to fix my "FPS=0" display.

oh wow, thats a first!
Heh, didnt make sense to me. I could connect with Resurrection. Wow those servers have awful players. I felt like I was cheating!
Jelly with have no problems beating those guys (20 vs 20 coming up?)
So I think the problem got solved
