Bah let's give this guy a chance, I guess. His policies suck but I think it was that Palin n00b who hurt McCain with her lack of IQ when he choose her over so many other intelligent women.
I want to see how world leaders react to this.

They're not really the same as much as you think. They CAN change a good bit, but not a WHOLE lot. Not on their own, anyways. With Obama as president and the democrats controlling congress though, I'm pretty sure they'll all jack off and pass every bill he wants passed.

Here's the kicker- now the Democrats own everything but the Supreme Court. With just a few more seats in each house of Congress, they can even muster the 2/3 majority needed to nullify any action taken against them. I hate the Republicans, I hate the Democrats, but there needs to be a balance between the two. You cannot hand the reins of power to a single political entity and expect the outcome to be anything good.
I am not looking forward to the next four years.

Responses like these make me even happier that Obama won. Enjoy being pissed off.
Perhaps you'd like to consider leaving the country? Hopefully before your new $1000.00 stimulus check arrives.

Agreed. See after next quote for details.

Agreed, as well. One party in power (e.g. They control two plus branches of our gov't will not be checked and balanced accordingly. They'll agree on a lot of things that they want to see made and to hell with other opinions. Why would you need to listen to other suggestions when you control enough of gov't to get your way?

It's this attitude that'll kill America.
|
No, it's my kind of attitude that is the only hope to save America.
American's need to realize that the president is not a king and he does crap for the country! The only thing that the president is good for is declaring war and vetoing bills... yea, that's some important guy...
America's government is supposed to be run with the people's consent. But thanks to the American people getting lazy these past decades, they just let the government do what ever and sit back while the country goes down the drain. The only reason why people are upset and concerned about the Obama being president is because they are too selfish and lazy to actually want anything to do with their country and expect it to be ran on its own. And now that people aren't very confident in Obama, they are getting uneasy. Well it serves them right, imo.
The only problem I see now is that people who do actually care for the country are going to have to suffer for the laziness of their fellow Americans.
