Do all video recorders save the files in enormous huge files, or do some actually encode them and save them in normal size.

The reason the file size is so big is because FRAPs records files uncompressed which doesn't use a lot of CPU usage.. Once you've finished recording you then encode the file yourself to make it 'normal' size
