I just had to install That crappy vista O/S ( due to an unlicensed copy of XP and retailers out here not selling XP anymore) and I can't get renegade to run, my spec's are as follows.

Vista 32-bit O/S
Asus cross hair mobo
AMD6000 dual core processor
2G ram OZ platinum
8800GT-X video card

I go to double click game icon from desktop and the welcoming renegade CnC window pops up then that evil window message pops up saying the following

" Renegade has stopped working...A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" (I have attached a SS of the windows error window)

I should also note that I have Renegade ( game.exe ) running in Admin. mode as well as in the XP sp2 Compatibility all patches up 2 CP2, I have NOT installed RG ( game2.exe ) yet, as there seams to be no point on it yet.

Thats it then you can only click the close button.. no Error codes nothing ... What kinda junk is this...

Try admin mode and XP SP2 compat mode. Also try installing Scripts 3.4.4 - DO NOT CHECK "BLOOM" OR "SHADERS" unless your computer is VERY powerful.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative

I fixed it by downloading and installing Renguard 1.3.3

Stop putting Renegade into Admin Mode ffs >.<


Try http://www.icefinch.net/files/ResurrectionClient-1.1.2.exe if nothing else helps.
If it still crashes, you'll at least get more information by crashdump files created in the 'debug' directory (upload and link them).
