Today I decided I should finally re-install the broken WOL components, and did so via the renegade install CD. I've gotten used to using the RR launcher to play on servers, but some that host once in a blue moon don't show up due to the fact that RR uses an XML file with the server names and IP addresses rather than XWIS.

After installation, I tried accessing WOL. I received the invalid serial message, but I wasn't surprised knowing that sometimes it isn't encrypted properly after installation.

I then downloaded the serial-changer from the forums and set my serial again. To my dismay, I was still told that it was invalid. Luckily, I have two serials (I bought the game twice) and I had used my newer one.

Guess what happened when I tried my old serial.

This topic isn't a request for a crack, serial-gen or work-around, but rather I want to know if this is due to someone faking my serial and posting it online (and then XWIS banning it) or caused by a third-party ren-mod badly being installed (Reborn, R.S.S, RR etc).

EDIT: Wrong sub-forum

You haven't been the first to post this, but Xwis has always ignored these posts considering that the people posting this are lying.

I can't see ANY part of that message that could be percieved as a threat.

Threat is something like "I'm going to fucking KILL you", or the like.
