Related to the XP login topic -I want to share this with you as I'm thinking not everybody might have noticed that a new Theme has been released.

It's a modified version of the original one which comes with Windows Embedded. It's definately for those only who love blue. It has made its way all over the net so far and some would ask why I am posting this here. The reason is simple, I included wallpapers for virtually all desktop resolutions which are missing within the original download.

First up, here is a screner (clicky)=

http://www.250kb.de/u/081016/j/t/22b8f086.jpg

I have written a readme with some instructions to get it working plus a short list with the wallpaper resolutions.

Download here=

1) Texas, United States (Mediafire) http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=b5af080fe61bc7add2db6fb9a8902bda
2) France, Europe (Zippyshare) http://www5.zippyshare.com/v/72859514/file.html
3) and in case the free filehosting service expires, my german backup http://freenet-homepage.de/Kampfdackel86/down/embedded_en.7z

To extract this, you'll probably need 7-Zip which can be found here http://www.7-zip.org -it's free, fast and can handle more formats than Winzip or Winrar. The 7z format compresses way better than zip or rar, that's why I use this.

BTW, you don't need a patched uxtheme.dll or things like WindowBlinds etc. Just copy the files into the themes dir and that's it.

I usually quite like blue themes, but that's too blue for me. Plus I have Vista anyway, and the normal Vista theme looks much better than any XP ones Razz

I'm sticking to Windows Classic theme even though I'm on Vista.

I am running XP on my computer because of compatibility issues. We also have a Laptop here which my girlfriend uses and it's got Vista home Premium. She likes the Aero design and would never turn back to XP.

Seems a bit ironic, because my Desktop is 1,5 times better/faster than our Laptop... but all she uses is Internet, Windows Live Messenger and Email. Big Grin

I for myself was tired of using the Luna theme for years now. I also can offer you the Royale (looks like the Mediacenter edition) and the Zune theme if you want.

I will always use the Windows Classic theme as well. That is the "look" of windows. If I want 3d unicorns or other pointless shit I will go to Mac OS.

I use classic when I am using Windows XP machines, as I think it looks better than the default XP theme, but I simply prefer the black of the Vista theme to the grey of the classic theme. Everything else is just stuff that happens to be a side effect of using said Vista theme.
