When I direct connect to n00bstories all I see is a blue screen

Like I was trying to hint at in IRC, you need to describe exactly you are doing. Also, I recall you saying it does this even when you don't use direct connect, which in case that means it's not direct connect.

Provide your computer specs, and maybe try to get some screenshots or something.

i just uninstalled renegade then reinstalled it
